The Project

Community Living after Spinal Cord Injury: Models and Outcomes
is a four-year study about how people re-integrate into society in the aftermath of a disabling injury. Spinal cord injury is viewed as the starting point for an investigation of social identity and community participation.

Community Life is funded by the National Institutes of Health and conducted by Dr. Cathy Lysack’s research team at the Institute of Gerontology.
